The Context

DCAMS replaces manual logbooks and paper-based access processes with a centralized digital experience for visitors, employees, vendors, approvers, administrators, and security personnel. The design needed to make this multi-stakeholder process clear and manageable while supporting secure access operations.

The Opportunity

The design focused on creating a structured access management journey from access request and approval through visitor entry and exit. Different user roles and their responsibilities were reflected through clear workflows, organized information, monitoring views, and centralized access to relevant activities.

The Challenge

The platform needed to coordinate multiple stakeholders and approval stages while presenting real-time access information, authentication-related interactions, monitoring, and reporting in a clear interface. The design challenge was to simplify this operationally sensitive workflow without compromising clarity, control, or ease of navigation across different user roles.
